Notes from NOISE Alum – Gloria

GloriaI completely enjoyed my part in NOISE, both as a BSW peer mentor, and as a research assistant to the program. I found the connection and support that the program was offering youth was incredible.

Today, I own my own private practice, providing counselling for mental health and addiction. I am also working for a non-profit mental health agency supporting families and caregivers that have a family member experiencing mental concerns.

I owe so much of who I am to York University and am so proud of my roots. York provided me an avenue from which I constantly draw from. I will forever be grateful to York University and all those wonderful and inspiring teachers that impacted me on a very deep level.

Thank you, NOISE and YORKU!
