The Theory of 2012

2012… A year of surprise, of the so-called end of the world. It’s surprising how it’s not that important, not like how it was two years ago when everyone would brag about the world ending in 2012, especially after the movie 2012 came out.

What does society have to say? Maybe the thought is that the world ending in 2012 is a fairy tale – like the panic around the year 2000, the start of a new century. My question is, if the world didn’t end in 2000, why would we think it would end 12 years later? “Let’s make money off these people, then activate the trigger to explode the earth!” Really? I honestly think this is ridiculous, because if they said the earth was going to explode in the year 2000, why are we still here 12 years after that theory was proven untrue?

How about if a person like me has a heart attack from fear – on the morning of the day that they claim the world is going to end? Well, then it’s the end for me, while everyone else just opens up their Christmas presents. I don’t find that cool, whichever Hollywood producers and writers created these films, like 2012. I swear, if I brought a girl on a date to watch that movie, and she ended up being scared to death, I would have to say, “Don’t blame me, blame the man who wrote this movie!” Whoever created this theory of the end of the world, you have been spending too much time by yourself!

If someone thinks too much about the end of the world, they may end up wanting to take their own life rather than have to face the end. Thankfully, I don’t believe it, and don’t put myself in that category.
